John Arbon Yarnadelic Sport – Badi Da
The Yarnadelic Sport is an oh so exquisite yarn that we are very excited to carry at Rives! It is 100% Falklands Corriedale wool, a breed of sheep that comes from the crossing of Merino and Lincoln Longwool. A cross that has created a fiber perfect for knitting, a fiber that marries the softness and roundness of merino with the subtle luster and length of the fiber of Lincoln Longwool. Also, spun here in 3 strands, this yarn will have a nice stitch definition, perfect for cable or textured projects, and in fact, perfect for all your projects, sweaters, cardigans, shawls, accessories.
The fiber of this wool is dyed before spinning (dyed in the wool), which gives a lot of depth to the colors, complex and full of nuances.
John Arbon Textiles is a family business from North Devon, UK. It is a spinning mill of human scale, producing yarns and fiber from materials sourced as locally as possible and reducing the production chain as much as possible. Also, the entire spinning mill uses Victorian machinery, which they have restored with passion and commitment. You can learn more about their history and mission by following this link .
